I've been a fan of Podcasts for awhile now.

I really like to read but it is nice to have a story read to you now and then and to that end Escape Pod is one of my favorites. This site is great for Sci-Fi short stories. I highly recommend it. They have a couple of sister sites; Pseudopod (for horror fans) and their newest on is Podcastle (fantasy stories).

I find it interesting that they have follow podcasters read the stories now and again. I found an interesting poly podcast called Poly Weekly.

Blah...had a bad day at work but but hopefully this is useful at some point.

Political hope?

I consider myself a Liberal, at least by the classic definition. I support free trade, smaller government and I'm a big supporter of civil rights and the constitution. In my opinion America's founding fathers were some of the greatest people of all time. I believe it was their intent to create something that would outlast them. That said I think if one were alive today they would be disgusted at the brothel in Washington.

It has only been in the recent past that I have become more political. I hate myself a little for it but I got tired of being blind to what they were doing. I'd say my affiliation was Independent but I'm registered Democrat since Arizona doesn't allow you to vote in the primary as an Independent. I support Barak Obama although I don't even agree with half of what he touts. Lesser of evils is how it has been with me since I started voting. I more or less hate them all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that there are politicians who go into politics with every intention of changing things; maybe even most of them. I just don't see that as possible. The system simply won't allow it. I don't like it but I've come to accept it, it's outside my sphere of influence, so to speak.

I'm not exactly sure what I even trying to say here. I am happy in the USA, for a lot of reasons, although none of those reasons involve the leadership of our country. Last time I checked other countries distrusted us as a general rule. That's the Bush administrations fault. I doubt anyone could refute that.

I have hope. Hope that whoever is elected President has the courage to stand up to the establishment. It's not a large hope but it is hope.

I figured out what had me upset last night. It actually had nothing to do with Nanci. I was pissed off at the guy she was cybering with. He is, supposedly, happily married in a non-poly marriage and yet he thinks it ok to cyber behind his wife's back. I don't understand this at all and it shows a serious lack of integrity in my mind.

Nanci needs to find guys that have more honor. That can be honest with themselves and thier loved ones. I don't want her to stop doing the things that make her happy so we will probably have to expand our search somewhat.

At any rate, I feel much better tonight and am anticipating no issues sleeping.

For the first time in a long while I am having trouble sleeping. I'm not sure why but it is certainly pissing me off.

I think it may have something to do with Nanci's cyber team speak experience last night. I think I would have less of any issue if she actually fucked the guy instead of having phone sex with him for lack of a better term. It's silly when I really think about it but it is bothering me for some reason.

This is a guy she met through playing World of Warcraft and he is married with a couple kids (I think). Nanci had been flirting with him for a few weeks and actually sent him some pictures of herself both clothed and nude. Shortly after that they had an initial play session and this guy felt extremely guilty about it and deleted her pictures. He said he felt like he was cheating on his wife (they are about as monogamous as can be) and that it would never happen again.

Well for the past two nights it did happen again. Nanci initially tried to get me involved but it was way to awkward and they ended up just cybering via text. Tonight it was via voice. I walked in on them once and the guy was telling him what he would do to her, she looked at me and smiled sort of sheepishly. I did what I needed to do and got out of there. It was weird.

I suppose I will talk to her tomorrow...she is sleeping now. I'm probably just being a freak and it will pass.
